Explore the TECO Manatee Viewing Center
The TECO Manatee viewing center is one of the best FREE activities to do in Tampa. It’s open daily from November 1st until April 15th from 10am to 5pm.
TECO Manatee viewing center is located about 20 minutes south of Tampa in Apollo Beach and it’s one of the best places to see manatees in Florida. Manatees gather there during the winter months to find warmth.
Other activities include a “touch tank” which allows visitors to have hands-on encounters with rays and other marine life. You will also find a mile long nature walk through coastal habitat that leads to a 50 foot tall observation tower.
Visit a Museum for FREE
Glazer Children’s Museum offers FREE admission every first Tuesday of the month (January 2nd)
Tampa Museum of Art offers FREE admission for Art on the House every Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm (Pay-as-you-will admission)
Henry B. Plant Museum offers FREE admission on the first Friday of every month (excluding December) from 5pm to 7pm.
Tampa Police Museum offers FREE admission daily from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm. Make sure to call ahead to confirm times as times may change due to staff availability.
Heritage Village in Largo offer FREE admission from Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and Sunday from 1pm to 4pm
Explore The Tampa Riverwalk
The Tampa Riverwalk is 2.6 miles and stretches from Armature Works to Sparkman Wharf.
There are many things to see and explore throughout the Tampa Riverwalk.
Explore Downtown Tampa
Hop on and off the TECO Line Streetcar that connects downtown to the Channel District and Ybor City.
